North Carolina native Krystal Harlow is one of those rare, head-turning beauties that we like to see around here. Since 2010, Krystal has been climbing the ranks of the modeling universe and making a name for herself. She has been seen in a lot of magazines, and has the distinct honor of being Playboy’s very first Miss Social. If you haven’t heard about this hottie, you most certainly will be we’re sure.
We got a chance to talk to this dark-haired lovely, and get her responses to our favorite Q&A.
So Krystal, where were you born, and how was life growing up?
I grew up in Charlotte NC, I loved it in Charlotte. Growing up I was surrounded by great friends and we always found some adventure to get into.
What nationality are you?
I’m Italian.
How long have you been modeling?
I’ve been modeling roughly since 2010.
How did you get your start in modeling?
My big start with modeling began in 2010 when I was crowned Playboy’s 1st Miss Social contest winner! Following that I became a Playboy Cyber Girl.
Where have we seen you?
Aside from being in Playboy, I’ve been since in Maxim with the ladies of the 2013 Hometown Hottie Contest along with being featured in magazines such as COED Magazine.
Do you consider yourself famous?
Absolutely not (laughs). I think I’m just becoming known. I have a ways to go before I will say I’m famous.
Do people recognize you when you’re out and about? If so, how do they react to or treat you?
For the most part people don’t recognize me but I have had some local fans get excited when they spot me out and about. That’s always fun for me, I enjoy being noticed! Also recently I meet a big reality show name and they did know who I was but once they found out who I was they were excited to be around me so that too was thrilling!
What do you like best about being a model?
What I like most about being a model is getting to try new looks, lighting, etc. in each of my photo shoots. With many aspects of my life I don’t think I fit one category, so I always like to try new ideas, it’s my way of finding myself.
What would you be if you weren’t a model?
If I wasn’t a model I have several different interests. As far as dream careers, I’d be a singer. But for something out of the spotlight I would like to be a writer, painter, or translator.
What would the average person say about you?
The people that know me best would say I have a big heart and that I am passionate. I can also be goofy at time and a lot more down to Earth that the average girl.
What’s one thing about yourself that everyone should know?
I have a website coming out REALLY SOON, I’ve been working really hard to make it perfect for everyone and I can’t wait for everyone to check it out!
Are you a good dancer?
We’ll just say I can do a little something-something.
What do guys compliment you most on?
My smile and my eyes get the most compliments.
Do you like the nerdy type, MMA fighter guy or the regular Joe?
I have a “dream type” in my head but I’ve never been with anyone like my “dream type”. I tend to take interest in different types of guys.
Are you seeing anyone? Do we stand a chance with you?
I am single, single, single.
Do you have any secret weaknesses or guilty pleasures?
I’m a sucker for fast food it’s something I’m definitely working on for 2013!
What’s your biggest turn on?
A man that takes care of himself! You don’t have to be flashy to look fresh!
Do you consider yourself more of a “giver” or a “taker”?
I’m definitely a giver. I don’t like to “take”, I like doing things for myself!
What is the most romantic thing a guy has done for you?
It wouldn’t be the most romantic but I did get to take a gondola ride in Las Vegas after a super nice dinner. That was special.
If you could have any car you wanted, what would it be?
An H2! I love, love, love Hummers. Charcoal gray with shiny rims!
Do you have any hidden talents?
Many people don’t’ know that I sing I can also do a few pole tricks!
What would you consider your strongest attribute?
My strongest attribute would probably be my determination. I’ve been through many things that go against me being where I am today but I’m determined to continue until my dreams come true.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and who would you take with you?
I would love to go spend some time in Australia, its somewhere I’ve never been but have heard it’s a must see and I would like to take my dream man! Maybe we could fall in love while we are there.
What do you normally sleep in?
I’m not a fan of the cold, so I’m often found in pink yoga sweatpants but come summer time you never know!
What is your favorite food?
My latest kick is surf and turf.
Who is your favorite comedian?
Currently I would have to say Kevin Hart. I saw him recently in Charlotte and he was amazing!
What do you do for fun?
I spend so much of my time focused on modeling but when I get out I like to join my friends at the bar for a drink but I love when I get to travel with modeling, even though I’m on business trips that when I have tons of fun because I just to hang with friends that I don’t get to see every day, meet new friends, and go to new places.
Do you like video games? If so, what do you play?
I haven’t played in years but I am a HUGE fan of Mario Party on Nintendo 64! I’m not good at the shooting games or anything like that.
Are you into sports? Do you have a favorite sports team?
Considering there isn’t a pink team anywhere, I always go for teams in LA. However being born and raised in NC I have love for all NC teams.
What are your dreams and goals?
My dreams and goals are endless but to name a few I would like to further my modeling career, try out a little more acting, become a solo singer, launch a fashion line, and the girl in me dreams of marrying prince charming some day!
